Wake up, smell the coffee and start grinding!
Join our new tournament, running from Monday to Friday, starting at 11am Eastern, created to get you in shape for your next big live poker action, no matter if it’s on a table with your friends just for fun or in Vegas fighting for the big guaranteed prize money (or that precious golden ring!).
Get into shape with our new morning workout routine! Monday to Friday!
A workout is a practice or exercise to test or improve one’s fitness for athletic competition, ability, or performance. It can also be a test of one’s ability, capacity, stamina, or suitability.
A routine is a regular course of procedure, or a worked-out part (as in the entertainment-business or a sports contest) that may be often repeated.
Now as the definition is clear, how does this fit in with a new poker tournament?
Well as poker is a game of skill, it means it’s something you can not only learn, but also improve by frequent playing. There is no ‘perfect’ routine, however, since every person is different. But a poker warm-up routine should accomplish three primary goals:
- Eliminate distractions: Poker is a complex game and it demands your full attention
- Reflect on what you’ve learned recently: Studying is crucial for poker success, but pointless if you fail to apply what you’ve learned. Make sure what you’ve studied is fresh in your mind by spending a few minutes reflecting on it before playing.
- Steady your mental state: Your poker play is affected by factors such as fatigue and emotional states.
You don’t need to be the next Mr. or Ms. Universe to improve your poker play, nor do you need to start studying mathematics or psychology to grab that big win, but as with all things in life – if you want to become better then you have to work for it. Establishing a daily or weekly routine with the right mind-set will help you get better and will boost your bankroll along the way!
Play, fight, learn, and repeat: from now on you have the chance to improve your gameplay with our new tournament. It’s all up to you, there are no strings attached. The ‘workout routine’ features no re-buys, add-ons or re-entry possibilities!!
Take your seat at the table and show your skills. If you don’t succeed right from the start, just use the hand-history and take your time to read through it again. Try to visualize the situation on the table and learn to master a similar hand in a more successful way the next time you take part in a tournament or cash game.
